1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using HolaNolis ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service. For minor users, a parent or legal guardian ("tutor") must accept these terms on their behalf.
2. Service Description
HolaNolis provides a safe, AI-powered conversational companion ("Nolis") designed for teenagers aged 10-20, with built-in parental supervision. The Service is accessible as a Progressive Web App (PWA) through any modern web browser. Tutors can register, add minors, configure supervision levels, and receive alerts and reports. Minors can chat with Nolis within the safety boundaries configured by their tutor.
3. Accounts and Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- Tutor accounts require a valid email address. You may also sign in via Google or Microsoft SSO.
- Each individual may only maintain one tutor account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Use by Minors
HolaNolis is specifically designed for use by minors aged 10-20 under parental supervision:
- Minor accounts can only be created by a registered tutor (parent or legal guardian).
- The tutor sets the supervision level (Light, Medium, or Full) which the minor must accept.
- The minor is always informed of the active supervision level — there are no hidden monitoring features.
- Supervision level changes require a renegotiation process between tutor and minor.
- By creating a minor account, the tutor confirms they have legal authority to consent to the minor's use of the Service and processing of their data.
5. Subscription and Payments
- HolaNolis offers a Free plan and a Premium plan. Current pricing is available on our pricing page.
- Premium subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal. Your Premium features will remain active until the end of the current billing period.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price change takes effect on their account.

6. Service Limitations
Important: Nolis is a companion, NOT an advisor.
- Nolis does NOT provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or therapeutic advice.
- Nolis does NOT diagnose any condition or prescribe any treatment.
- Nolis does NOT provide dietary, nutritional, or fitness recommendations.
- Nolis does NOT replace professional help of any kind.
Additional limitations:
- Nolis's responses are generated by AI and may occasionally contain inaccuracies. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content.
- When Nolis detects potential crisis situations (self-harm, abuse, violence), it responds with empathy, provides professional helpline information, and alerts the tutor. This is an automated safety measure, not a professional crisis intervention service.
- The Service depends on third-party AI providers and may experience temporary unavailability.
- The free plan is limited to 20 messages per day per minor.
7. Intellectual Property
- The HolaNolis name, logo, Nolis character, and all associated branding are the property of HolaNolis.
- The software, design, and content of the Service are protected by intellectual property laws.
- You retain ownership of any content you or your minor submit to the Service.
- By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service (e.g., sending messages to AI providers for response generation).
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- HolaNolis is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
- Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
- Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Spain. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Barcelona, Spain. For consumers within the European Union, this does not affect your rights under mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
